"Gung Fu is Harmony Calm or Raging Controlled, Explosive, Flexible, Flowing like water, Always seeking its goals"  Chou Hsiang - Tibetan Charging White Crane

LFMS

As a Kung Fu the LFMS consists of four animal styles that are analogous not only to the fighting style of the animal but at a practical level based upon physical range. Cobra consists of short range techniques within bodily contact defending standing or in a ground context.  Tiger Claw is an intermediate range consisting of strikes, kicks, jumping, ducking, and following up with combination techniques. Charging White Crane is long range strikes delivered with a dynamic ‘Triangle Stance'.  This was a style was developed in Tibet and especially effective for the colder climate where people wore heavy clothing, necessitating more powerful striking techniques to literally take someone off their feet. As for the Dragon style it is an extreme long range style especially effective with distancing and then spinning full contact into an opponent then distancing out to engage the next opponent. The Dragon style is also effective for multiple assailants and against  weapons.  See below for additional detail.

Cobra

The Cobra Hand style is an extreme close range style with lightning fast energetic strikes to specific body points of the opponent. Cobra is used for extremely close situations including not only standing but ground contexts of choke holds, pins, etc. The Cobra utilizes explosive tension, breathing control, and energy.

Tiger Claw

The Tiger Claw system stresses explosive techniques and movements, using lunging, twisting and ripping attacks. Strong breathing control and tension at the points of strikes are also important aspects of this style. Lithe as a Tiger, the Tiger Claw practitioner develops the strength of the stance combined thru the torso. This develops effective techniques producing and strong and flexible wrists, arms, legs, for striking in any direction.

Charging White Crane

The Charging White Crane style has initial origins in Tibet. Based upon speed, grace and agility, and effective strikes of this beautiful bird, this famous long range style uses speed, dynamic foot work, fluid motion, explosive strikes, and generates incredible impact.

Dragon

The Dragon Style taught within the LFMS employs extreme long range techniques used for multiple assailants in large areas of engagement and against weapons, stressing dynamic balance, strength, and agility.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong

Inclusive with the LFMS is Tai Chi or the coordination of energy creating moving balance from all angles, increasing calmness, energy rejuvenation, flexibility and balanced reflex patterns.  Additionally Qi Gong practices stress internal work with energizing breathing techniques and meditation in movement.

Meditation

The LFMS Meditation system is designed to be directed to the goals of each individual to enhance calmness of mind, elevated consciousness, and opening of senses with the energy of attunement.
